If you are a company or organization sponsoring, hosting or conducting a 30 minute or more seminar,course or in-service, via Webinar, magazine article with a test you are grading, video, correspondence, University or Trade School, Conference or live training and company training, we do not require that you submit your course or seminar for pre approval. As long as the topic is a health care related topic we automatically approve those topics. Our members need 10 CE's or CEU's to renew their certification CDP, CDCM, CFRDT, Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer® CADDCT with the NCCDP every two years.
On the certificate that you provide, which our members will need, please put on the Certificate:
(Organization name) is a Certified Sponsor of professional continuing education with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners for members holding certifications as CDP, CDCM and CADDCT. CEUs can be earned by attending sessions at (Organization name) conference (date of conference and location of conference). Conference participants will be eligible to receive up to (Number of Ceus. example 12) CEUs (date of conference). We recognize all institutions, trade schools, e-learning such as NCCDP Online Learning at portalstaging.nccdp.org, Care2Learn, Silver Chair, Etc,
For in-services, we recommend a certificate but if that is not possible, than we recommend a letter signed by the nurse educator on company letter head that states the name of the in-services, date,time given, means of the in-service (live training, handouts, video, role playing, etc) and the employee's name.
